Digital Marketing and Communications Executive

Location: Bath
Are you passionate about online communities and want to feel like you are part of something important?

This is a great opportunity to join a small (but growing) Charity who are building a Social Networking Site with a conscience.

Ourfutureplanet.org are looking for someone to assist us in the day-to-day running of the site, with a particular focus on promoting the site via online marketing channels. Focus is on increasing the community, creating a lively and populated site, and developing public awareness of the organisation.

Joining at the early stages of this exciting projects development this is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of something important, work in a cool environment and to have a say in our ongoing digital marketing strategy.

You'll need an understanding of Web 2.0 and some online marketing experience (agency or in-house), including campaign management, Adwords, SEO, web analytics and e-CRM, you will preferably have some knowledge and passion for the Green sector (although this is not a prerequisite). You will have a solid track record of online customer acquisition, conversion and retention plus the ability to drive website traffic. A high standard of written English is a prerequisite.

We are looking for someone who is genuinely enthusiastic about the aims of our organisation, innovative, confident and creative, and able to use their initiative. As we are a small team, candidates should ideally be willing to bring their own ideas to the role.

Coordinator (Fundraising/Development)

Location: Bath
The Coordinator (Fundraising/Development) will work closely with and be responsible to the Fundraising Development Manager. The principal aspects of the role are as follows:

Help to implement the Charity's fundraising strategy

  • Proactively help to develop income from a variety of sources
  • Research funding opportunities
  • Source funding applications
  • Prepare and write funding applications
  • Submit funding applications
  • Assist with event planning
  • Manage and update databases to record donor contact and preference information
  • Prepare mail-shots and correspondence

The Candidate

Knowledge and experience of computers/the Internet will be desirable

  • OFP is at heart about creating a sustainable future, and candidates must feel passionately about these issues
  • Previous fundraising experience great but not essential
  • The Coordinator (Fundraising/Development) will have a passion for this job, and see it as an opportunity to do something that will make a real difference to our world

Volunteer Communications Manager

Location: Bath
This is a part-time role, ideally covering 20 hours over 4 to 5 days per week. Reporting directly into the CEO it requires the post-holder to manage all aspects of the Charity’s communication activities, help create their strategic communications plan and implement all communication activities detailed in their business plan.

You will be experienced in generating media coverage, providing copy and acting as the main contact for the media and external organisations.

Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills, proven abilities in communicating with a wide variety of external audiences, and knowledge and experience of PR. Initiative is paramount as is creative thinking and an adaptable, flexible attitude.

This is an exciting opportunity for a PR and Communications professional who has the passion and motivation to be involved with a valuable cause.

The category content developers role is to

  • Identifying the latest innovations, blogs, developments in each of the areas and deciding the best way in association with the CEO to show them on the site
  • Provide a weekly tip for the section i.e. what changes the community members can make to their behaviour in order to live more sustainably within the area.
  • Recommend key organisations that OFP should link with. The aim is to connect our citizens with organisations already doing great work out there and that have solutions.  (These need to be global focused)
  • Keep the CEO updated on the latest movements in the area including, research, innovations, reports, solutions etc
  • Source a video per month for each subcategory.
  • Reply to forum and comment posts in each subcategory where possible.
  • Build a following for this area

This role is not office based, so can be done from home from anywhere in the world. It is estimated that this role will need around 3-4 hours per week dedicated in order to fulfil effectively.
